I will say - my local shop had a tough time getting this to fit. Much throatier, little louder, and the sound of the downshifts is intoxicating. After a while I felt like my axle back was a little quieter and I planned on upgrading anyway, and it sounds awesome. I'm so glad I went with the midpipe option.

The fix was either wait for the 2019 axle back, or order the midpipe and make it a full CBE. Sadly, after I bought my 2019 STi, I found out that Subaru made a very small change on the stock y-pipe flanges, and the axle back would no longer work. I had a 2017 STi with the Nameless axle back - 4 inch mufflers, 4 in double walled tips. Overall I would highly recommend this exhaust to anyone and I would purchase again despite the wait time. It gets pretty loud when you get on it but stays relatively subtle at idle and when cruising, it does drone around 3500 RPM but it's nothing too crazy. The sound of my setup is deep and has a very nice growl to it, under hard acceleration or rev matched downshifts it pops and crackles. I think the 5 inch would be too quite and the deletes would be a bit too raspy/high pitched. The new FA motor obviously doesn't have the "Rumble" any longer and can easily sound like a "Honda" with the wrong exhaust setup. Sound: I have the catted/resonated and 4 inch muffled version and it is absolutely perfect in my opinion. The craftsmanship is unmatched and everything was packaged very well. I had zero issues with fitment and I would strongly urge people to buy the new exhaust hangers. If you aren't confident in your mechanical abilities I would pay someone to have it installed. I sprayed everything in penetrating oil the night prior and again that morning but my two top bolts on the turbo stripped out so that was fun to handle.

Install: The install was extremely easy and straightforward aside from the J pipe. The Nameless team was helpful but nobody seemed to have an accurate estimate for most of my wait. In my case what I wanted wasn't in stock and there were some production issues so my "4 week wait" turned into 11 weeks.

Wait time: As most know, if you want something from Nameless and it's not in stock you are going to wait. Have photos of the two pipes next to one another and is quite clear bends just arent where they should be and angled in opposing directions. Very dissatisfied and had no choice but to put back my Invidia that fits flawlessly. Tried calling as I had previously numerous times when waiting for my order for status updates, left a message and have yet to get a response. The pitch is so far off that if the undercarriage werent obstructing the path, if the pipe were possible to mate the the turbo the exhaust pipe would enter the floor somewhere around the center console. Pipe bends are in the wrong locations and wastegate pipe hits subframe leaving the top of the flange a half inch away from mating with the turbo housing. To my surprise as shiny and well constructed the pipe was it simply did not fit.

Excited to install I quickly removed my 3 invidia to install the nameless upgrade to my new VF52. After 2 months of waiting on outsourced bends for 3 piping my nameless performance box finally arrived.
